I think money plays a significant role in our daily life, and we should have a right attitude towards it.
I think money is one of essential elements in our life, which accelerates the development of technology and progression of society. The function of money is to buy things, which cannot be replaced by others. As a consequence, this unique feature of money makes it become a “temptation” for social individuals as everyone needs money to make a living. So money makes a difference.
The corporations want to earn loads of money; therefore, they do their utmost to find a solution that can reduce the cost of productions, which pushes the progress of technology in an indirect way. Likewise, some companies especially IT firms such as APPLE and SONY need to invent new things to attract potential customers for the sake of getting a larger percentage of market. During the competition, there is a new technology revolution happening.
At the same time, we should not ignore the money’s implication on social progression. There is a case in point that when a company wants to earn more, they need more labor force, which will reduce the incidence of unemployment. Every individuals is a beneficiary of it as higher rate of employment declines the possibility of crime; thus, our society will become more safety and harmonious. Since more and more people are about to become employees, the company have to teach them techniques and knowledge of production, which improve the level of education of these people. There is no denying that our society will get better, on condition that more individuals have a higher education degree.
So this is why I say that money having a positive effect on the development of technology and social progression.
The above are my attitude towards money.Do you agree with me?
I agree with you on some of your ideas about money. It is true that we could not live without money, and many firms and corporations need money to develop better. Moreover, just as you said in the blog, the purpose of gaining more money may encourage the development of technology and benefit the society to some extent. However, I have to say that nowadays some people have become so greedy that they may even do things against the laws just to earn more money. This also shows the negative effects that money brings us. After all, we need to treat money calmly and wisely, don’t we?
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right. As you have said in your blog, money is a must in our daily life; none of us is able to lead a comfortable life, or even struggle to live in the contemporary society without dealing with money. It is also true that money does push forward the development of our society, which you have explained in details. However, we cannot deny that money also endless immoral and evil incident in China like the event of “San Lu” which directly endangers people’s lives. Money itself is innocent; it is the greedy, endless desire for money that causes those tragedies. Hence, it is urgent need for all of us to think over whether our attitudes towards money are appropriate or not.
ReplyDeleteNothing is free in this world, except perhaps the air we breathe. Yes, we all want to live a comfortable life, but we need to live within our means. This frenzy of making more and more money is not healthy at all for society. It has eroded certain values and the outcome can be seen in the lives of the present generation. Yes I agree that the root of all evil is not money but people. The sad thing is that we are beginning to lose our soul as we allow material things take over our lives.
ReplyDeleteI really agree with you. First you analyze the function of money with wide eyesight. Then you give some concrete examples of money’s good effect, such as pushing the progress of technology and reducing the incidence of unemployment. You have proofed your opinion sufficiently. I think you have done a very good job.
