Blog 2:Money and Health

Nowadays, more and more young people are more concentrating on their business and money, but do not care of their health. These people work so hard that they could not find any spare time to do any exercises to keep healthy. Maybe it is because that they consider themselves “not old”, which makes it no use to worry about their health condition. In their opinion, the prime thing they should do before they get old is to make as much money as they could. Once they have achieved this goal, it would be easy for them to cure the diseases they may have in their old ages with so much money they have earned.

However, I do not agree with this idea. As far as I am concerned, keeping healthy is the most essential target in our lives, no matter we are old or young. Those who hold the belief that they could cure all the diseases whatever they have with a large sum of money are rather ridiculous. If so, the rich people would never die of any illness. Nevertheless, just look at one famous example that we all know: Steven Jobs was quite wealthy but he still could not survive from his severe disease. It clearly shows that it is very unrealistic to think that health could be bought by money.

Therefore, we should be aware of keeping healthy from young to old; health is never the thing only the old should be worried about. We should always remember to arrange some time for physical exercises, but not contribute all our time in making money. As the saying goes, “gold will not buy anything”; at least it is impossible to buy health with money. Hence, we should always put the aim of staying healthy before earning money in our mind. Try to do more exercises, and try to keep yourself healthy!

  1. Definitely agree that many young people are obsessed with making money at the expense of their health. They may never reach old age the way they are going! How foolish people have become. Societies have gone so materialistic that values are being eroded. The root of all evil is not money but people. It seems that one is never satisfied. The more one has, the more he wants to have. We should always be able to control our yearnings and be realistic about what life is all about.

  2. You have shown your attitude towards your health which is exactly what I agree on. However, I used to regard my study or my work as the priority when I was in senior junior high school. I did not realize that health was the biggest fortune I had until one of my beloved relatives fell badly ill because of huge pressure from her work. Fortunately she completely recovered but told not to overwork anymore. Since then I started to spare some time doing exercise such as jogging no matter how busy I was. Now, I believe without doubt that one can earn more only if he or she has a health body.

  3. I think health is what we should pay most attention to as well. No matter what period I'm in, I won't do anything harmful to my health because my mom always told me that if you consider a person as "1",other things are only 0 following it to make the number larger, however,if we lose our health, the first number will become 0 so that other things can be meaningless.I think this sentence my mom told me has almost the same meaning.

  4. I strongly agree with your opinions.Definitely money can buy medicines but cannot buy health. Most people always take the health in youth for granted, but in fact, if we don't treasure the health everytime,we'll regret when we're old.People can gain money by their efforts, but the prime is the health just like you said. I like your blog very much, meanwhile I hope you can always sleep early and have a healthy body forever~~~~~lalalalal(*^__^*) 、、、、

  5. i agree with you. money cannot buy everything. we earn money to enjoy life rather than save it in the back to watch it grow which less benefits our lives. as we are at a very energetic age, we also should not use too much "money" in our "health bank", or we will be regret for that when we get old with a huge but meaningless amount of money in hand.
