On the first day of Chinese New Year, I visited Singapore Zoo with my uncle; this was, as far as I am concerned, really not only an interesting but also a meaningful experience, from which I have learnt a lot about harmony.
Before I start to tell you about my trip, I think all of us have ever visited zoos in China, just take myself as an example. My impressions of zoos are just matters of various animals lying in cages lazily and crowded tourists taking photos busily; to some extent, I have to say that these pitiful animals are no difference to prisoners, while we, human beings, are like rulers having complete control over our prisons——animals. Nevertheless, I have seen a quite different image in Singapore Zoo.
Once I entered the zoo, I was greeted by so many towering trees that I even began to doubt whether I have burst in a jungle. As I moved deeper, all of a sudden, I heard excited screams made by a blond who was looking up into the sky. I just raised my head, you guess what I saw? A monkey was hanging upside down with its tail and making faces to us! Or maybe you could say it was greeting us in its special way, but it was so cute and funny that we all took out our cameras, and this naughty monkey just stayed there with its innocent eyes opening wide. What a lively image! We all smiled to each other and even waved to the little lovely creature to say goodbye after taking photos. How about those fierce giant beasts? Tigers, lions and so on cannot run out freely in case of safety. In fact, there are no bars or high walls surrounding them; what they have around is just a clear and peace lake. The environment is really similar to nature where these animals once lived.
Human and animals are just like friends living together, or, exactly speaking, we ought to be good friends in harmony. That is the true way in which we are supposed to get along with nature.
Firstly,I'm glad to be sofa again. And from your blog,I can see you love animals so much. The zoo is the best place for us to contact with lovely animals as well as the natural. The human beings all belong to the nature,to some extent,we are similar to annimals.Keeping a universal love to the animals is easier than to people because the animals have not profit relations with us,they are purer than us.Why don't we keep a warm heart and embrace the animals and nature?I always believe that you can live in harmony with nature.Wish you happy everyday.O(∩_∩)O、
ReplyDeleteThank you for your reply. Just like what you have written, I really enjoy staying with animals so that I have kept many pets: cats, dogs, rabbits, goldfish, tortoises and even ducks~ We human beings are just one kind of animals which share our living inhabitant--Earth, with other creatures. It is our responsibility to live in harmony with nature.
DeleteFinally, congratulations to you again for your second sofa.....
Oh, sofa, so fast~~
This blog reminds me of an article I have seen before. That article said that people always criticise zoos for zoos limite animals freedom to cages, but they never think that there is a possibility that animals like this food-free and carefree area.I think if that situation really exists,it may happens in the zoo of Singapore because what you have described is really harmonious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments!I really appreciate the experience in Singapore Zoo from which I have leearned a lot about animals. I advise you to visit it personally~~
DeleteThis surprised not only you but also me. It is so harmony that they are free. Whether you have think of this the zoo is a large case, or the city is just a case which we live in? Hehe, it just a philosophy question. By the way, I want to go to the zoo after reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteIn fact,I have once thought about the question. Finally, I think everyone should live in the place with restricts or laws. The absolute freedom may just exist in our imagination. It is essential to have restricts, I think.
DeleteWish you a good trip to Singapore Zoo!!
Why did not you take me go? Just a kidding. I am always being willing to go such a harmony place. May be we should not call that place a zoo. It is more like a home. Remember call me next time.
