Blog 4: Cycle and I

There is a saying that ‘Life is based on sport’ and I like sport. When I was three years old I began to ride a tricycle and at the age of 4 I learn how to ride a bicycle.  From then on, bicycle became one of the most important parts in my life. I love cycling because it feels like fly. I began to go to school by bike from grade three in primary school. Till now I have ever had four bikes and the last one is Giant, a Mountain bike. In my 10s, my father ever rode with me to my grandmother’s home, nearly 20 km away from mine. When I’m in high school, it takes me about 10 minutes every day to cover 2.2 km, as I measured accurately, from home to school. Cycling is also an enjoyment for me. I ride along the river feeling the fresh air and viewing green plants. One time I covered 36 km to get to my friends home. I feel great except for pain in my butt. Also in a hot noon with strong sunlight, I covered 40 km without having lunch. In my memory, I have ever felt angry and went for a ride to release myself, for it makes me happy. Bike is my best friends. I love cycling. I love sports.

  1. I always think people who can ride bicycles are very smart because I find it too difficult for me. It is a sport that is good for the whole body and requires a good sense of balance.

  4. You are so crazy about cycling! Although I am not interested in sport, I can still feel your hospitality. Keep going. I believe you! In your spare time we can cycle together by the way to help me lose weight. PS: I am not good at cycling.

  5. I also love bicycle very much and it is a very important part in my life. I can feel your love with bicycle and I think we can go bicycling together sometime in future. Your story has recalled my experience in the past. I used to bicycle in the morning for a long distance to enjoy the scenery on the road and it was very enjoyable. I hope I can have a bicycle sometime in Singapore and bicycle around with you.

  6. When I read your blog, I felt like coming back to my childhood. I learnt riding when I was four years old. I could even memorize that the first time I learnt it, my mother stood behind my bicycle, holding it in order to keep it balanced; when I said, “Let’ s go!” she just pushed my bike ahead and said, “Be careful of your handles!” I felt enjoyable that day. Now, my mother is too old to push my bike ahead; however, her spirit and love are still motivating me to keep going. By the way, suxu, I think, compared with KTV, riding is a much better way to relieve our stress and ease our bodies; meanwhile, it can reinforce the bond of our group members. So, why not organize a riding journey? I am convinced that everyone will relish doing it.

  7. I think most boys like cycling for it feels cool to move fast to feel the wind. Moreover, i do think cycling is a good way to exercise. You can listen to music when you are cycliing. Thus, you won't be boring. When i was in my hometown, i have a professional bike and i always ride it to cycle around my hometown. All in all, i find your topic interesting.
